To promote the languages of contemporary art, by focusing not only on acclaimed artists, but also on emerging ones - this is the Fondazione Coppola’s mission.
Entrepreneur, collector and art patron, Antonio Coppola, established Fondazione Coppola in 2018.
The Foundation’s location is unique. The tower of Porta Castello, or “Il Torrione”, was part of a medieval fortress. It has been an iconic symbol of the city for several centuries. It appears among other paintings in Giovanni Bellini’s “Pietà Martinengo”.
Now under the guidance and support of Fondazione Coppola it has gained a new purpose. Its newly restored spaces can host exhibitions and events dedicated to visual arts and humanistic studies.
Il Torrione will attract art connoisseurs and lovers for generations to come.
